SHELF IS A COMEDY DOUBLE ACT.

THE PEOPLE IN IT ARE CALLED RACHEL WATKEYS DOWIE AND RUBY CLYDE, AND THEY HAVE BEEN FRIENDS FOR MORE THAN A DECADE. THIS IS MOSTLY OUT OF CONVENIENCE, BECAUSE THEY GREW UP ON THE SAME STREET. THEY STILL RETURN TO THIS STREET WHEN THEY CAN'T MAKE RENT. BEFORE THEY DID THIS, RACHEL AND RUBY WERE IN UNIVERSITY SKETCH GROUPS CALLED THE OXFORD REVUE (RACHEL) AND THE UCL GRATERS (RUBY).

THEY DID THEIR FIRST GIG IN 2015, AND IT WENT WELL, THANKS FOR ASKING.

SINCE THEN, THEY HAVE BEEN HEAT RUNNERS UP IN SKETCHCLUB'S BEST NEW SKETCH ACT COMPETITION (2015), HOSTED THE WOMEN'S STAGE AT LONDON PRIDE (2016), AND PERFORMED THEIR FULL LENGTH EDINBURGH FRINGE SHOW AT BESTIVAL 2016. THEY WERE FINALISTS IN LONDON SKETCHFEST'S BEST NEW ACT COMPETITION (2016). THESE ARE JUST A FEW OF THEIR SEVERAL ACCOLADES.

THEY AGREE THAT IT'S WEIRD TO TALK IN THE THIRD PERSON WHEN THEY OBVIOUSLY WROTE THIS.
